Landscapes

My video, Landscapes, is a piece I created for the Alternator Gallery in Kelowna, BC. It’s part of a multi-media installation that explores the idea of landscapes, both physical and psychological, and how we inscribe ourselves on and in them. All the images were drawn by Okanagan students, faculty and staff. As a collaborative and public piece, it also seeks to destabilize the roles of artist and audience.

Chatter & Whirr

These four pieces were part of a multi-media installation and performance created with my colleague, Jillian Garrett. In the late fall of 08, I went out and photographed leaves and trees on the campus of Okanagan College. Then in the winter of 09, we went back to the same locations where I took each picture and we re-populated the dormant trees and natural settings.

This performance was recreated in Kelowna at the Rotary Centre for The Arts as part of a provincial wide music and media arts festival to celebrate artist-run culture and centres across British Columbia, Canada.
